Kelly Osbourne is done with "Fashion Police" and it seems that she chose the perfect time to quit the show. The English singer-songwriter and fashion designer is reportedly exiting the show just a week after Giuliana Rancic's unpleasant comment on Zendaya's red carpet appearance at the Oscars, reports GossipCop.

E! released an official statement regarding Kelly Osbourne's departure and they claim that it has nothing to do with Rancic's controversy.

"Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s 'Fashion Police' to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers," the statement read.

TMZ reports that while there is no direct connection between Osbourne's departure and Rancic's "weed comment," there was actually growing tension between Kelly and the show producers since Joan Rivers passed away.

Both parties have not commented on the issue as of late, but sources say that producers are already fed up with Osbourne.

However, looking at Osbourne's previous tweets it appears that her exit may be related to the controversial comment made by her co-host.

"I WILL NOT BE DRAGED INTO THIS! The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. I hope you can leave it to them & do the same!" she wrote early this week, according to Daily Mail.

"Im giving everyone involved 24 hours to make it right or the world will hear how I really feel. contactually Im not allowed to speak!.. I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!" she added.

Nevertheless, it appears that both Rancic and Zendaya have already moved on from the controversy after the former expressed her sincere apology to the latter.

"It takes a strong women to apologize & makes a forgiving women even stronger! #ThisTooShallPass," Zendaya tweeted following Rancic's public apology.
