#TheDress has certainly made a good impression among netizens, and although the biggest question on whether it's blue and black or white and gold has been answered, the online world is still pretty much caught up in the debate about the dress' color.

This week, fashion sites and all other news sites semi-ditched the hype over the annual fashion week and instead focused on one dress that took the world by a storm in just minutes.

Facebook was instantly filled by a clash of opinions when a bride-to-be posted the "What Color Is This Dress?" question alongside a snap of the dress in varying lighting conditions.

GossipCop even learned that big celebrities like Taylor Swift, Mindy Kaling and Kim Kardashian joined the debate on the color of #TheDress.

The clamor over the dress began when people shared their opinion on the real color of the dress. Some said the dress is in black and blue while others claimed that it was obviously white and gold.

Amid the online tension, the company that made the dress, Roman Originals, decided to answer the question and fortunately for people who said that it's black and blue, the answer is all in their favor.

The model who wore the dress for promotional purposes. Laura Coleman, also said the same thing when she posted about #TheDress on her Instagram page.

"Okay so I was the first to wear this dress and just to confirm it's definitely black and blue! #thedress," Coleman wrote.

Despite the clarification, the debate has not simmered down and has instead shifted from tackling the color of the dress to questioning the authenticity of the dress that was posted by Roman Originals.

Some claim that the one the company posted on their Twitter account is not the same dress while others say that it is the exact dress that took the online world by a storm.

However, per Daily Mail's latest report, Roman Originals does not have a white and gold version of the dress, although they are probably considering having one now.

"We're looking into getting it through the approval stages," a rep for the company told Newsbeat.

"We want to do it but it depends on the speed. We're trying to get it done as soon as possible. We are in contact with the suppliers to establish if we can get it manufactured in white and gold," the rep added.
