This season's disappointing campaign might have cost the Los Angeles Lakers perhaps the team's most loyal fan as Jack Nicholson, whose courtside presence has been a common fixture at Staples Center for over 25 years, has apparently lost his enthusiasm in attending Lakers home game.

In an exclusive interview on TMZ, Nicholson said he's willing to sell his courtside tickets for face value since there isn't any good reason to watch Lakers game right now with their playoff hope all gone and superstar Kobe Bryant done for the remainder of the season with a season-ending shoulder injury.

Although Nicholson stressed he's still watching Lakers game from his couch, the Hollywood actor seems to be not as enthused to watch Lakers game now as he used to be during the franchise's heydays.

"I am always willing to sell them [courtside tickets] for face value," Nicholson when asked what he's going to do with his tickets since he's not much interested to attend Lakers game at Staples.

A season-ticket holder since 1970, Nicholson has been one of the most loyal supporters of the purple-and-gold for the past five decades. His allegiance to the Lakers Nation shouldn't be questioned anymore, always lighting up the sidelines with his animated gestures, and at times, drawing the ire of referees for openly criticizing their officiating.

Sadly, Jack must have realized there's nothing to cheer about the Lakers this season. Playing a roster consists mostly of journeyman and youngsters, the only consolation price waiting for the Lakers at the end of the season is a top-5 pick in this coming draft.

The Lakers will have a significant salary cap to boost up their lineup this summer, but the team appears to have already lost its luster in terms of attracting elite stars after missing on several elite free-agents last summer.
