Taiwan Plane Crash 2014 - In July 2014, a plane had crashed in Taiwan killing more than 40 people. In a tragic turn of events, another plane crash had occurred in Taiwan and this time it took the lives of 31 people. What exactly went wrong with the flight?

A TransAsia Airways plane had clipped a bridge shortly after its take off from Taipei's airport. The plane after hitting the bridge careened into the Keelung River. Around 15 survivors managed to be pulled out from the wreckage but more than 30 people had died. The 2015 crash is a repeat incident of the Taiwan plane crash 2014.

While the Taiwan plane crash 2014 was due to the stormy weather in Penghu's archipelago, the 2015 crash involving the TransAsia Airways was due to an engine problem. A recording reported by the NY Times shares that the pilot reported of an engine problem, saying, "Mayday, mayday. Engine flameout."

The TransAsia Airways crash in Taiwan follows six months after the Taiwan plane crash 2014. This is the second crash involving the said airlines making people question their safety aboard their planes. Investigation over the Taiwan plane crash 2014 is still underway and now another plane crash is set to be investigated.

While the Taiwan plane crash 2014 killed 48 people, the death count in the 2015 crash in the Taiwan River has reached up to 31 people. 12 people are still missing. Around 58 people have said to be on board the flight.

The Taiwan plane crash 2014 and 2015 by the TransAsia Airways counts as the second and third tragic incident in the country. In May of the year 2002, a China Airline flight had crashed at Penghu, where all its passengers were killed. Approximately 225 passengers on board, including the crew, had died.
