Boston Bomber Jury - The jury selection for the much awaited hearing for the Boston Marathon bombing has begun. It is said to begin on Monday with one of the suspects, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, set to be seated at trial. Tsarnaev was responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing that took the lives of three people while seriously injuring 260 people.

Tsarnaev is due in court by Monday. The Boston bomber jury selection has already begun with more than 1,200 prospective jurors summoned. Arun Rath of NPR had spoken with Milton Valencia of Boston Globe regarding the Boston bomber jury selection.

The trial will begin on Jan. 5. Despite the bid of Tsarnaev's lawyers to move the trial out of Boston or delay it back in Jan. 3, the trial is set to continue. The selection for the Boston bomber jury has in fact begun which means there would be no more delays even if Tsarnaev's lawyers fight for a new bid.

For those who have only heard of Tsarnaev now, the 21-year old is a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing that occurred in April 2013. Along with his older brother, Tsarnaev packed explosives into a bag pack before leaving it to blow up at the finish line of Boston's annual race.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, Dzhokhar's older brother, was killed in a police shoot out after the bombing. As for Dzhokhar, he too could face the same fate of death. If convicted of the crime, Dzhokhar could face death penalty.

The Boston bomber jury are to base the decisions solely on evidence released in court. In addition, with death as one of the penalties, the judge in charge of the trial will have to seek out jurors who agree on the death penalty.

With the selection of the Boston bomber jury having just begun, the trial for the Boston Marathon bomber is said to last five months.
