France Unemployment Hits Record - Apparently, not everyone in France is as happy as they seem to be compared to the rest of Europe. According to recent reports, France's unemployment record has hit an all-time high. The number of unemployed individuals is reportedly the largest number the country has ever had.

The total number of unemployed individuals in France has risen to 3,488,300 in just a course of a month. Last Nov, the recorded number of unemployed folk reached to only 27,400. Obviously, France unemployment hits record breaking number with its 5.8% increase in comparison to last year's tally.

President Francois Hollande's popularity has noticeably fallen to its lowest ratings following France unemployment hitting record breaking number. Since Hollande stepped up to the plate of presidency, he has yet to fulfil his promise of lowering the unemployment record.

Despite the booming tourism, France's economy has not grown and in the hopes of lowering France's unemployment hits record, an average of 1.5% growth will be needed. While President Hollande has yet to state measures for breaking unemployment record, the Minister of Labour, Francois Rebsamen has spoken up on a measure implemented by 2015.

Such measure mentioned by Rebsamen would be acted upon by 2015, which hopes to favour employment and break France unemployment hits record. The "Responsibility Pact" is said to cut social charges aimed at businesses to up to 40 billion euros. This in exchange for 500,000 jobs by the year 2017.

With the holiday season in tow and the New Year around the corner, France unemployment hits record could simply be just another road block down the road for 2014.
