Newtown parents sue state - Only a few days before the anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting at Newtown but things are going tense than it seems. New reports claim that parents of the victims are planning to sue the state for wrongful death claim. What exactly is a wrongful death claim?

A wrongful death claim is a personal injury lawsuit filed when someone dies due the negligence or of intention by another party. This said claim is now being planned by the parents of the Sandy Hook shooting victims. A number of Newtown parents suing state after Adam Lanza had taken the lives of their children.

Newtown parents suing state are 11 out of the 20 families whose children were killed by Lanza. These 11 families involve the children Bacon, Barden, Hockley, Lewis, Mattioli, Marquez-Greene, McDonnell, Pnto, Wheeler, Richman, and Rekos.

For those who don't know of the Sandy Hook shooting. It involved Lanza, a 20-year old with a penchant for violent games and mass killing. Lanza had open fired on 20 first-graders at the Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14 in the year 2012. In addition to the 20 children, Lanza killed six teachers before taking his own life. Prior to the shooting, Lanza murdered his mother, Nancy, in their home.

The Hartford Courant was first to report on Newtown parents suing state for wrongful death claim. It was unclear however as to whom the lawsuit would be filed against. Yet, sources claim that the family plan to file a lawsuit against Bushmaster, the manufacturer of the Bushmaster AR 15 Lanza used in the Sandy Hook shooting.

In addition to Newtown parents suing state, numerous sources also add that the families of the victims are set to sue the insurance company holding the policy for Nancy's, Lanza's mom, Newtown house.
