World's no.1 Serena Williams has shared some of her well-kept secrets to her fans during Q&A questions on Twitter on Friday, including her desire to have kids.

Williams, who successfully defended the world's no.1 ranking at the end of the WTA Tour season, has kept her robust life going, but this time off the court.

These past few weeks, Serena did a TV commercial for sports bra Berlie and hanged out with her friend Caroline Wozniacki, who participated and finished the New York City Marathon.

But on Friday, she somehow found an hour or two to interact with her fans on micro-blogging site, Twitter. And as expected, Williams never passed on intriguing questions out there, particularly on her interest in having a family.

At the heat of the Q&A, a fan made a bold question if Serena is keen on the idea of settling down and having children. The top female netter made a quick respond by saying she desperately wants it, although time will only tell.

"Desperately. My time will come. RT "@MonzellaC: @serenawilliams Do you ever want to settle down and have children," Williams' response to the question.

This was not the first time Serena has expressed her desire to start a family and kid. Earlier this year, German tabloid Bild reported Williams was pregnant and the father of her child was no other than her coach and rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou.

Williams immediately downplayed all the rumors by flaunting her bikini body in one of her European tours before her triumphant North American hard-court season campaign, which was highlighted by her victory at the US Open championship (18th Grand Slam singles title in her career).

The 33-year old Williams has also reached greater heights this year after surpassing former rival and Swiss women's tennis great Martina Hingis for the 4th spot in the list of the longest reigning world's no.1 player in history of the WTA Tour. She's now just trailing Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova and Stefi Graff in the prestigious circle.
