Veteran shooting guard Ray Allen continues to generate interest from multiple teams up to this point of the season. On Thursday, the NBA's all-time leading three-point shooter ignited buzz once again after he was spotted in Chicago for an appointment his agent called 'unrelated' to the Bulls.

The 39-year old Allen has yet to decide whether to retire or give his career another try in his chase for a third NBA championship ring. It was presumed the Cleveland Cavaliers were set to sign Allen, who played two seasons with LeBron James in the Miami Heat, but the team has apparently grown tired of waiting the veteran's decision that they already filled the last available spot on their 15-man roster.

With the Cavs backing out from the Allen 'sweepstakes,' there's no shortage of teams chasing the service of one of the deadliest three-point shooter the game has ever known.

Western Conference powerhouses San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks are interested to add Allen at some point this season while the Washington Wizards are considered as darkhorse with Paul Pierce already on board.

But among the suitors for Allen, the Bulls seem to be the most attractive destination because of the team's status as one of the favourites in the Eastern Conference and his connection with head coach Tom Thiboodeau, who served as the Celtics' assistant coach during Allen's stay in Beantown.

The Bulls currently have 14 men on its roster and still have a spot available for Allen, if he decides to join them. According to analysts, Allen would be a welcome addition for an already loaded Bulls squad because of his ability to move off the ball and make dagger shots when needed.

Allen averaged 9.6 points, 2.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 38 percent beyond the three-point line in his last season with the Heat. Although he reportedly remains in good shape, Allen is not expected to sign with a team until All-Star break to keep him fresh for a tough grind towards the playoffs.
