Lindsay Lohan net worth might be a little different if she landed the Regina George role in "Mean Girls." Although she rocked the Cady heroine role that she got, she had recently admitted that the Queen Bee role was actually the one that she was rooting for.

Now, 10 years after the movie had debuted on the big screen, Lohan has admitted that she had actually argued with director Mark Waters over the Queen Bee role. Obviously, she lost that fight since she appeared on the comedic blockbuster as Cady.

She has somehow gotten used to portraying nerdy roles in her previous flicks that she was admittedly desperate to land one that allowed her to rule the roost. The 28-year-old star opened up to Entertainment Weekly in the magazine's annual reunions double issue.

Lohan was paired with Rachel McAdams and Tina Fey, who actually had their eyes set on the Cady role.

"I had finished 'Freaky Friday' not long before with Mark Waters. I had gone to Toronto and I was doing 'Confessions of A Teenage Drama Queen,'" Lindsay Lohan net worth shared. "Mark came out to scout locations for 'Mean Girls' and came to see me at my hotel and said, 'Do you wanna do this movie?'"

True enough, she did want to do the movie, but she had her heart set on the mean girl role. "I wanted to play Regina," Lohan revealed. "I had just played - in 'Confessions' and 'Freaky' - not the cool girl in school. I was still 17 years old and I wanted to be the cool girl on set."

Lindsay Lohan net worth then added, "So, I had a war with him, and he goes, 'No, Cady is the heroine. And that's who you are.'"

Even Fey, who had actually written the movie's screenplay, initially assumed that Lohan was going to play the Regina George role.

"At some point, I was, like, 'Oh. Should Lindsay be Regina?' Fey shared. "And then Mark and Lorne Michaels had the good sense to say, 'No. She gets to turn into Regina.' You work backward from that and you cast her as Cady, knowing she could get to that point of being Regina, but you let her be the innocent side, too."
