Actress Portia de Rossi says she's 'disappointing America' by not wanting to have kids with her longtime partner and funnylady Ellen DeGeneres in her latest interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

The 41-year-old "Scandal" actress opened up about upsetting her mother first before admitting that she may be disappointing the entire country for her joint decision with DeGeneres to not have kids and start a family of their own, according to Daily Mail.

During her appearance, Kimmel asked de Rossi how she feels about circulating rumors that she and DeGeneres are going to have a child.

"Oh, I know. I know. Oh, gosh. It's just one big rumor that doesn't seem to go away," the Australian model responded.

Then, she continued by claiming that she and her partner maybe upsetting America and not just her mother.

"And at this point, I feel like I'm disappointing the whole of America, not just my mother. You know? It's true. The tabloids are at me. My mother's at me. I just," she said.

A few days earlier, Portia de Rossi was on Ellen's talk show, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," and she and her partner even poked fun at the baby rumors that just won't go away. They even joked that they might be pulling their adopted child from their fans, but then quickly ended it by revealing that they don't have plans of having a child together, Inquisitr has learned.

Despite being married almost six years already, Portia and Ellen are still not including baby plans on their bucket list though they have constantly admitted to love spending time with de Rossi's nieces Eva, five, and Perry, three.

"They're adorable and we love them and we play with them, and then we leave," the "Scandal" star gushed to Kimmel.

Portia's "disappointing America" remark on the baby rumors came amid a series of spiraling speculations that she and DeGeneres are on the verge of breaking up, with sources claiming that their marriage is not that strong at this point in their lives.

Meanwhile, speaking about her involvement on the fourth season of ABC's hit series, de Rossi said that she "hounded" showrunner Shonda Rhimes just so she could take the role, reports New York Daily News.

"I wanted to be a part of that show so badly that I just went at it," she quipped. "Hounding in Hollywood terms really means my agents called her agents more than was appropriate. She took a meeting with me, which was so exciting to get to be in the same room with her and talk about her amazing, amazing shows."
