Bill Gates' daughter, Jennifer Gates, is known for her fondness of horseback riding. Well, being the daughter of one of the richest men in the world, Jennifer got exactly what she needed. Bill Gates had bought an $18 million dollar equestrian estate north of San Diego.

The $18 million estate includes a three quarter mile racetrack, five barns, an olive grove and a guest house. Four barns are equipped with 30 stalls whereas the fifth barn serves as a home for horses with injuries. Before Bill Gates daughter was given the sprawling estate, it had originally belonged to weight loss trainer Jenny Craig.

Jenny Craig utilized the facility as training ground for her thoroughbreds. The estate had been owned by Craig for almost 20 years but had to be shut down in 2013. Before selling it off, Craig had advised the real estate agent that the land be kept as an equestrian estate. Luckily for Bill Gates daughter, Jennifer Gates was fond of horseback riding that her father had purchased the $18 million land.

"The family has enjoyed visiting the San Diego area with friends and family for many years ...," stated a spokesperson of the Gates family. With regards to the purchase of Bill Gates, Craig had also released a statement.

"I was happy that the buyer is someone who can afford to turn it into the showplace it was meant to be," stated Craig.

The land might as well be a gift for Bill Gates' daughter but the billionaire also has plans for the equestrian estate. Microsoft's billionaire plans to turn the land into a grand prix circuit for jumpers and hunters.

This is not the first time that Bill Gates' daughter received a million dollar estate. Reports by Huffington Post claim Bill had purchased a house in Florida for $8.7 million where Jennifer had been a show jumper at the Wellington Equestrian Festival.
