Reba McEntire asked Little Big Town to become Opry members. She invited the country music superstars while they were performing at the famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.

While the band was performing their hit song, "Pontoon," they were obviously surprised to realize that there was someone else who was singing with them. They were in for a surprise that night since they had not scheduled any surprise guests during their performance.

People Magazine learned that Jimi Westbrook of Little Big Town was very shocked with what happened. He said, "I thought, who's singing?" Then Reba McEntire makes her entrance on stage. Shortly after getting on stage, she invited the band to become the newest members of the Opry.

Reba McEntire said, "I know the Grand Ole Opry is very important to y'all because this is the first place you guys played together as a group in 1999. I have been asked to ask y'all, Little Big Town, would y'all like to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry?"

The band was not able to immediately respond, as they were obviously shocked. McEntire then replied, "Well, I'm taking that as a yes."

Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town told People, "This is like the pinnacle. This is forever. Here, in the ladies' dressing room tonight, I was looking at photos of Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline, and now we're going to be in the club."

"Our heads are spinning!! What an honor!!" the group wrote on their official Twitter account.

Pete Fisher, the Vice President and General Manager of Opry informed Taste of Country, "We have been enjoying Grand Ole Opry visits from Little Big Town for almost 15 years now. During that time, the group has developed an amazing artistry and has won over millions of fans, all while maintaining a commitment to and love for the Opry we saw firsthand tonight."

It looks like Reba McEntire made a good call that night. LBT will be officially inducted by Vince Gill on October 17th.
