Bin Laden's Son-In-Law Arrested - Osama Bin Laden's son-in-law, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, has officially been arrested. The former al Qaeda spokesman will be serving life in the United States prison. The sentence was handed out Tuesday by the U.S. judge stating that Ghaith remains a threat to America and its citizens.

Osama Bin Laden's son-in-law was arrested and convicted early in March by a federal court in New York City. Sulaiman Abu Ghaith had reportedly planned the murder of Americans and the support to terrorists planning the conspiracy against the United States. Ghaith was also arrested with regards to immediately sending out support and following the requests of Osama for new followers for suicide missions.

Despite his arrested, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith remained calm when he was asked to take the witness stand for his own defense. The Kuwaiti national claimed his actions were all for religion that encouraged Muslims to rise against oppressors. According to him, he had only headed out to Osama Bin Laden's cave out of respect.

"I didn't go to meet with him to bless if he had killed hundreds of Americans or not. I went to meet with him to know what he wanted," stated Abu Ghaith.

Before Bin Laden son in law arrested, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith had come from Jordan a year ago. He was captured during his travel to Kuwait. The CIA managed to track down Abu Ghaith's movements to a luxury hotel with the help of an al Qaeda network.

Now that Abu Ghaith has been arrested, the sentence of life imprisonment in a United States prison has been given. However, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith could possibly face the death penalty along with four other conspirators if convicted. Currently, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith is in custody at the Guantanamo Bay.
