Nascar News Dale Jr. - Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been challenged by current 'Dancing With the Stars' Season 19 cast Michael Waltrip to join the hit reality dancing competition, BeyondTheFlag.com has learned.

After dodging the eliminations in the first week of the competition, Waltrip did some media interviews with his dancing partner Emma Slater, and of course NASCAR.com was there to interview the 52-year-old racer.

During the interview, Waltrip revealed that since the announcement that he is joining DWTS this season, the Nascar community has been sending him lots of love and support.

However, something struck the wrong chord when he stumbled upon Nascar newsmaker Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s tweet about him.

"Got my vote @mw55 #HugeCajones," Earnhardt wrote on Twitter.

According to Waltrip, it took him time to decipher what the 39-year-old son of Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Sr. meant in his tweet, but after realizing the rather vulgar nature of Earnhardt Jr.'s tweet, he echoed his challenge to the latter.

"Dale Jr. said that this was the last thing he would do and so did I, yet here I stand. So it's up to you big boy, bring your nation to Dancing With The Stars next season and let's see what you've got," Waltrip told interviewers.

As of late, Dale has not yet commented on Waltrip's challenge. Instead, he has honestly voiced out his disappointment over a recent weekend race.

On his Dirty MO Radio show, Dale said that his performance last Saturday during practice was pretty "awful."

One of the famous Nascar Sprint Cup Series drivers continued to gush about the Chicagoland Speedway weekend race, saying that several issues had surfaced with his team at that time, noted GiveMeSport.com.

"We don't practice well. We never do but we always race well. Even if we practice decent, I know it's going to be a great race. Because we always race just fine. We just don't practice, don't qualify well," he said. "I don't know why that is. Wish I had an answer for you but trust me, it's an unpleasant experience to have to struggle through practice and worry whether that's a reflection of how the race is going to go."

Though Earnhardt Jr. managed to stay up near the top ten during the race, he finished at the 11th spot, which explains his frustration with his overall performance.

"To be honest, Saturday was awful," Earnhardt said. "We weren't anywhere we needed to be. We were about two-tenths off of the guys that I thought were going to run well. Two-tenths is a chunk of time, so I was getting very worried. - The third and final practice we had all kinds of problems with the engine and the spark plug. And then we went out there and preceded to stink it up and run all kinds of terrible laps."
