Pia Zadora, famous Las Vegas entertainer, is now headed to Los Angeles so that she could have her injured ankle evaluated, according to her publicist Eileen Koch. It was only last week when she had a serious accident that ended up severely hurting her ankle. She was hospitalized last Thursday after being involved in a golf cart crash.

As reported by John Katsilometes, a contributor to MORE, it was Pia Zadora's 17-year-old son who was driving the cart last Thursday when she was suddenly thrown from it as it made a sharp left turn on a street that was quite near her house.

A tipster agreed to provide some information regarding Pia Zadora's medical condition, provided that there will be anonymity throughout the report. According to the tipster, Pia Zadora suffered some skull fractures, a broken ankle, and a broken jaw. Additionally, Pia Zadora's husband, Mike Jeffries, informed Katsilometes that the bleeding inside her brain was caused by the trauma to her head, and that she had been slipping in and out of consciousness inside the Las Vegas University Medical Center's intensive care unit.

Now, though, it would seem that the 60-year-old Pia Zadora is heading towards recovery. However, the status and future of her show at Piero's Italian Cuisine, which she reportedly does two times a week, still remains uncertain, according to Koch. Of course, because of the recent unfortunate events, her upcoming shows at the aforementioned venue have already been cancelled.

Pia Zadora first became famous as a child actress in Broadway. She starred in "Fiddler on the Roof" during the 1960s. She even won a Golden Globe award for her skilled performance in the 1981 movie "Butterfly," alongside Orson Welles and Stacy Keach. Additionally, Pia Zadora is also a Grammy nominee in 1984 for the song "Rock It Out."
