Walmart shooting in Ohio is an incident that John Crawford, Jr. will never forget. His son was fatally shot by police at a Walmart branch in Ohio, and he said that a cellphone call made by his son, John Crawford III, had him listening to his son's dying breaths. There were no words said, except for his son's ragged breaths that kept replaying in his head.

Crawford, Jr. has already talked to The Cincinnati Enquirer regarding the last day of his son's life. It was only a telephone call that he made from his own home in Jackson, Tennessee, but he was able to divulge a lot of details about the incident.

Crawford, Jr. said that his son, Crawford III, was shot on August 5 in a Walmart branch that was located in the Dayton suburb of Beavercreek. Someone called 911 and informed the police that Crawford III was waving a huge weapon in the air, which later was found out to be an air rifle.

The officers who responded to the call said that Crawford III was shot when he did not respond to the orders that were given to him. He was reportedly told repeatedly to put the gun down. The Crawford family, as well as their lawyer, on the other hand, have stated that a store surveillance video showed Crawford III holding the air rifle and talking to someone on his cellphone.

The family has already requested for the store's surveillance video to be released to the media, but Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has adamantly refused to release it while the investigation is still underway.

Crawford, Jr. said that he was actually within Ohio during the day of the Walmart shooting. He stopped by so that he could see his son, but, it turned out that his son was not at his home in Fairfield. Moreover, according to him, it was the mother of Crawford III's two young children that he was actually talking to while he was at the Walmart shooting incident. He even said that the woman started to scream as soon as she heart shots being fired and even put the call on speaker so that Crawford, Jr. could also hear.

Crawford, Jr. rehashed to the newspaper, "You could hear in the background he was gasping. I'm virtually listening to my kid taking his last breath."
