The Los Angeles Lakers are still in search for talents few weeks before the start of training camp. According to report, general manager Mitch Kupchak is looking into the possibility of adding a player or two who could provide them depth at the small forward and center positions.

Michael Beasley

Beasley worked out in front of Lakers executives for the second time this offseason, as the former Kansas State standout and no.2 overall pick attempts to rejuvenate his career as a member of the purple-and-gold.

The 25-year old Beasley averaged 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in 15.1 minutes a game last season with the Miami Heat. Sources indicated the Lakers wanted to sign the small forward for a one-year veteran minimum deal, but Beasley's rep demanded a higher offer, prompting both parties to set another meeting.

Many analysts believed Beasley could be a good gamble for the Lakers, because of his incredible potential that has remain unrealized. Head coach Byron Scott, who is known as a great motivator and mentor, could play a big role in turning Beasley's fortune around.

Andray Blatche

Blatche, who is currently competing with Philippine at the FIBA World Cup, has remained unsigned despite posting solid numbers (11.2 points and 5.3 rebounds) for the Brooklyn Nets last season. The 6-foot-10 big man has reportedly worked out for the Los Angeles Clippers, who are searching for a DeAndre Jordan's backup.

Basketball Insiders writer Jabari Davis believed Blatche might not be the defensive standout the Lakers are looking for, but his offensive prowess could be something valuable for a team needing some offensive punch off the bench.

"Blatche remains someone that should garner some interest from several teams as we inch closer to the season. I'm not sure he'd be a great fit with the Lakers due to his defensive deficiencies, but teams in need of scoring from that position (possibly in a reserve role) Andray The Giant could still make a lot of sense," according to Davis.

Jermaine O'Neal

Former All-Star forward Jermain O'Neal is still unemployed up to this point of the free-agency period. The NBA journeyman is also being considered as a potential signing for the Lakers, although his age and history with injuries could be something of a red flag for Kupchak and company.
