A soccer player of JS Kabylie has been killed by the team's fans on Saturday after their loss against the USM Alger in the city of Tizi Ouzou.

The man was identified as Albert Eboose who was actually a top scorer of the Algerian league last season. He reportedly died shortly after rushed in the hospital after sustaining a head injury. Eboose was struck by a hard object believed to be a rock shortly after their match against the USM Alger wherein they were defeated with a score of 2-1.

Fans of JS Kabylie was said to be mad on the team that they started to throw rock on the soccer players shortly after the game just when they were about to leave; however, Eboose happened to become unlucky that he has been killed. Previous reports also say that other members of the team were not injured from the unpleasant incident. Authorities of the said sport have been greatly unhappy with the kind of violence that occurred on the weekend.

According to the report from CNN, Issa Hayatou, the Cameroonian president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has been actually unhappy with the act of violence that killed a soccer player. Hayatou also stressed that there should be a corresponding sanction to be released following the tragic death of Eboose as a result of the said act of violence.

"African football cannot be the breeding ground for hooliganism whatsoever. We expect exemplary sanctions to be taken against this grave act of violence," Hayatou stated.

Algeria Football Federation and the professional league reportedly called out an emergency meeting regarding the tragic incident wherein officials of the match and of the JS Kabylie were called. With a soccer player killed in the incident, Algeria Football Federation President Mohamed Raouraoua is said to be hoping that people responsible for the said act of violence will be severely punished.
