"The Hobbit 3" already has its public release date set on December of 2014.

In the opening sequence of "The Hobbit 3" trailer, Bilbo Baggins said, "One day, they'll remember - remember everything that happened. The good, the bad, those who survived and those that did not." Along with this trailer comes the exact release date of "The Hobbit 3," which happens to be Peter Jackson's final installment in the internationally famous The Hobbit trilogy.

The film has originally been scheduled for a July 2014 release, but it was then moved to the 17th of December of the same year.

According to the official Facebook page of the "The Hobbit 3," this latest film will be the epic conclusion to the adventures of the Company of Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, and Bilbo Baggins. The dwarves have just reclaimed their homeland from the massive dragon Smaug, when they unwittingly unleased a much deadlier force into the world.

Smaug, filled with rage, rains his fiery wrath down upon the people of Lake-town, men, women, and children, alike, who were all incapable of defending themselves against the huge dragon.

The cast of "The Hobbit 3" will feature some familiar faces, such as Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield, Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Ian McKellen as Gandalf, and Orlando Bloom and Lee Pace as the father and son tandem, Legolas and Thranduil.

In a recent interview, Bloom mentioned that fans of the "The Hobbit 3" can expect the upcoming blockbuster to place a bit more focus on the relationship between Legolas and Thranduil.

"The Hobbit 3" and the other "The Hobbit" movies are actually based on the trilogy, The Hobbit, which was written by J.R.R. Tolkien back in 1937. The first book entitled "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" was released back in 2012. It was followed by the "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," which was released just last year. These movies were able to earn a combined total of $2 billion at the global box office.
