Baby left on subway angered a lot of people as soon as the news was made viral. The police was quick in locating the abandoned baby's mother, and, later, they did find who the neglectful mother was. It was on Tuesday that the local police charged a 20-year-old woman from North Carolina for leaving her daughter behind on Monday. It was a very crowded Manhattan subway station, and something horrible could have happened to the innocent child.

The suspect, Frankea Dabbs, appeared to have no permanent residence in New York. In fact, the police referred to her as homeless. The police was not able to immediately figure out when Dabbs arrived in Manhattan, but it was identified that Dabbs came from Raleigh where she previously lived.

This mother whose baby left on subway was charged with child abandonment, a felony, and behaving in a way that could impose injuries to the little child, a misdemeanor. The police made sure that the name of the little girl, who is still 11 months old, is not divulged to the public to keep the baby's life private. At present, the baby left on subway has been taken in the custody of New York's child welfare agency.

Shortly before the New York police announced the charges they had filed against Dabbs, the lady baby left on subway, a similar case was underway in Queens.

A case that is in the same genre of child neglect as the baby left on Subway had local police in Queens arrested a mother who is suspected to have been responsible for the death of her 11-month-old baby boy. The little boy was found unconscious at their home with no apparent signs of trauma on his body. The mother, 22-year-old Nicole Kelly, did not say anything about harming the boy. However, when put under the pressure of intense questioning, she indicated to the detectives assigned to her case that she did harm the child. The medical examiner of Queens is still trying to find out the exact cause of death.
