Former two-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray saw his title reign at the Wimbledon Open ended after bowing out to Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria in the quarterfinal. While the upset loss left several tennis fans stunned, the story behind his early exit could be even more dramatic, as it reportedly involves the player's longtime girlfriend Kim Sears.

In a report posted on International Business Times, Murray appeared to be flustered not only by his struggle on the court but perhaps the presence of his girlfriend, whom he reportedly had an argument.

The Scottish was reportedly cursing everytime he committed an error or allowed his opponent to score a winner during their match on Centre Court.

"During the second set of the Andy Murray v Grigor Dimitrov match, around 2:13 pm, photographers on Centre Court told TheGuardian they heard Andy Murray scream "shut the f*** up" in the direction of his box."

"This was followed by another curse. Later, when he was 4-2 down in the third set, he was again heard saying "five minutes before the f***ing match. These expletives left people to wonder if something happened during his pre-match preparations."

According to the sources, Murray seemed to be cursing someone in his player's box, where his girlfriend Kim Sears, new coach Amelie Mauresmo and his mother Judy Murray were sitting. There are speculations about an argument between Murray and his new coach or perhaps with his girlfriend, but nothing has been confirmed so far.

The Telegraph reported that Sears was upset about the loss and made a quick exit from the player's box the moment Murray lost. She then left Wimbledon ground alone, prompting speculations that her relationship with the tennis star has turned cold.

Dimitrov, who reached his first ever Grand Slam semis after his win over Murray, believed he played a different player that day.

"As soon as we started to warm up, I sensed that his game was not at the highest level," he said. "had a feeling" something was not right with how Andy Murray played," Dimitrov said in an interview with the Telegraph.

"I have practiced quite a few times with [Murray] and I know how he is striking the ball when he is at his best, I know how he is playing when he is not at his best. I think it's just a feeling that I had," he said.

During the post-match presser, Murray denied all the rumors and stressed he just had a bad day at the office. However, there are some who believe things are getting awry between him and Sears. Is this going to be the start of a bitter ending of their relationship? Only time would tell.
