Every summer dozens of concerts and festivals are held all over the world. Some are championing for charities while others were made just to bring musicians together. With all the different festivals going on it's hard to choose which one to visit, so here is a quick list of the shows yet to come this summer.

Warped Tour, Nationwide

Beginning in early June the Vans Warped Tour is arguable the biggest summer tour out there. The Warped Tour is sponsored by an eclectic number of groups and companies, but their biggest ones are Vans, Journey, and KIA Motors. Looking to bring in the younger demographic many of the bands are some kind of punk or rock. The tour has plenty of stages to handle their whole list of 130+ bands and no matter what time of the day there is are plenty of bands playing.

From June 11th - August 3rd

Lollapalooza, Illinois

A festival that needs little introduction, Lollapalooza has been around for several decades and continues to pull in bigger and bigger names. Founded as a farewell by Jane's Addiction lead singer Perry Farrell the show has blossomed in the years since. While at first their focus was on rock and alternative styles it now pulls in popular hip-hop, pop, and rap groups.  Not only is good music expected but thanks to its large plot of land and proximity to one of the local lakes the festival has dozens of activities to keep people entertained past music alone.

From August 1st - 3rd

Electric Zoo, New York

Held over the labor day weekend this festival is one of many electric shows that have been cropping up in recent years. Starting in 2009 their band list has been growing with both local and international electronic musicians and bands.  Representing all genres of electric music this festival has been nominated as one the "Best Music Event" four times by the international Dance Music Awards. It is exciting to see a festival grow and prosper as this one has, and if you're into the electric genre in any way this is a must see.

Newport Folk Festival, Rhode Island

Hailing as the most senior show of the bunch, having been around since the late 1950's, the Newport Folk Festival's pedigree speaks for itself. This concerts main focus, as the name implies, is all about folk music. With the change in how folk is considered and played the festivals has evolved with it. Bringing in both new bands and old the festival maintains a proud tradition of staying true to its American music roots.

While this show is technically beyond the summer it is still worthy of being on the list. Partnered up with much of the city the music festival boasts more an attendance of almost a quarter million over the festival. Plenty of restaurants hailing out of Austin will be there at the Austin Eats section, catering to all kinds of people. Another part of the show is dedicated to local artists and festivals goers will get a chance to support them and their work.
