If you are looking for a sunny vacation to a place with beaches, outdoor and water activities, and a vibrant nightlife, then St. Barts should be your next vacation destination. St. Barts is in the Caribbean and the language is predominantly French, so you may need to brush up on your French lessons. However, you should be fine in many of the touristy areas.

Of course, you want to make the most out of your vacation, especially when in the Caribbean. But, what is there to do in St. Barts?

We have the details you need, and, if you are having trouble finding a place to stay, you can click here for some ideas.

1)  Saline Beach

Saline Beach is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, and it is located in St. Barts. You can swim in waters colored turquoise and different shades of blue and enjoy the warm white sands, but be sure not to forget the sunscreen! If you want to catch a bite to eat after spending the day on this luxurious beach, you can enjoy lunch at one of the most popular restaurants just up the shore near the parking lot.

2)  Gustavia

If you want to hit the shops after a fun day at the beach, Gustavia is the place to go. Gustavia has many boutiques and duty-free shops for explorers to enjoy and buy souvenirs and anything else they need. If you are exhausted from exploring the many shops around, you can grab a bite to eat at many of their restaurants that feature French cuisine or delicious seafood.

3)  Lorient

The town of Lorient is where the first French settlers arrived in St. Barts. Lorient is on the north coast near St. Jean. In Lorient, you can enjoy a 19th-century Catholic church, the beach, and shopping. Parts of the beach have challenging waves, which are ideal for surfers, but other parts of the beach are calm enough for swimming.

4)  St. Jean

St. Jean has many places to shop and restaurants to explore. If you are also looking to take a dip in some calm waters, St. Jean is the place to do it. There is a natural coral reef at St. Jean Beach, where you can rent snorkeling gear and surfboards. This area of St. Barts is an excellent destination for those traveling with children since there is so much to do in the ocean. You and the children can enjoy a bite to eat after the beach at the Nikki Beach Saint Barth restaurant along the coast.

5)  Colombier Beach

Colombier Beach is an excellent year-round beach for animal lovers. This beach is located at the tip of St. Barts, and you can reach it by boat or a half-hour walk. But, the hike is worth it because you can see many animals like goats, and once you get closer to the beach, you can spot turtles or iguanas. You may even encounter some locals since this is a popular picnic spot because it is one of the least crowded beaches on the island. And David Rockefeller used to own the surrounding property. Pretty cool, huh?

St. Barts is the place to go to enjoy sunny beaches, great shopping, and to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
