Philadelphia peephole shooting reportedly killed one person at a home in Philadelphia. What was just a simple knock at a door suddenly turned into a Philadelphia peephole shooting. The victim of the Philadelphia peephole shooting unfortunately didn't make it to the hospital and died on the spot, reports Reuters.

According to the police on Monday, a man was squinting through a peephole at his Philadelphia home. He only responded to a late-night knock at his front door but he turned up shot in the face and killed. The man's family members also living at the home in the city's East Germantown neighborhood reportedly told the police that the 29-year-old Philadelphia peephole shooting victim heard the knock at around midnight on Sunday.

According to the Associated Press, the Police said that the man then peered at the knocker through an improvised peephole at the side of his front door. Suddenly, shots rang out and the incident turned out to be a Philadelphia peephole shooting. Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small said that at least two shots were fired through the peephole while the victim was looking out.

Scott said in a statement, "The 29-year-old victim then looked through a peephole on the side of the door. When he was looking through this peephole at least two shots were fired."

UPI also reports that the Philadelphia peephole shooting victim is still unidentified by the police. The victim reportedly died from a single gunshot wound to the face and pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the police believe that the shooter may have had an accomplice. He fled the scene on foot. Chief Inspector Small added that the shots from the Philadelphia peephole shooting were fired from outside, and no suspects entered the home.

Philadelphia Peephole shooting has produced no arrests. The police also have no suspects.
