Ellen Page girlfriend photos have become one of the most searched items on the internet following the public coming out of the 27-year-old 'Juno' star on Valentine's Day this year. Soon after, many attempted to find photographic evidence of an alleged girlfriend, but the only remotely close to a love partner for the actress was her "Whip It" co-star and director, Drew Barrymore. Back in 2009, the two actresses were really expressive of their admiration for each other, but no one bothered to question their sexuality since both didn't admit anything related to their sexual preferences.

According to Your Tango, Ellen Page and rumored ex-girlfriend Drew Barrymore somehow gave a few hints on their whirlwind romance back then.

Although no one actually suspected anything back then, during a joint interview for Marie Claire, the two celebs were remarkably touchy and sweet.

The writer, who featured Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore as part of the promotion for their roller derby flick, noted that during the interview the two actresses "couldn't keep their hands off of each other."

In their feature spread, photos of the two actresses holding each other's hands and even enjoying a canoodling moment became more questionable now than how the public simply tagged it as sweet friendship when the mag issue circulated in 2009.

Nevertheless, now that Ellen Page is finally out of the closet, many are probing deep for the real catch between her and Barrymore.

Six years earlier prior to their "Whip It" movie, Drew Barrymore told Contact Music that is not afraid to admit that she is bisexual. "Do I like women sexually? Yeah, I do. Totally. I have always considered myself bisexual," she said.

Going back to their Marie Claire interview, many are now raising their eyebrows to Drew Barrymore's statements about Ellen Page.

"Ellen has such a beautiful body, and I personally battled with my own body image for years. I used to tell myself, 'You can't wear anything sleeveless or strapless.' And all of a sudden I was like, 'What if I just didn't send such negative messages to my brain and said, wear it and enjoy it?' And now I'm more comfortable in clothes than ever," she said. To which Page quipped with: "That openness. It's so sexy."

Interestingly, it seems that Barrymore couldn't control herself during the interview as she dished, "She was in her frickin' bra with an open jacket and hot-pink shorts, skating around the rink with red lips and ..." Fortunately, Page managed to cut her off and interjected, "I was having a really good time."

Because of their seemingly obvious girl crush for each other based on their statements during the interview, several media outlets speculate that the two Hollywood celebs may have indeed shared a romantic fling back then.

Just recently, Ellen Page opened up to The Hollywood Reporter on the aftermath of her public coming out. The actress shared some of her grim memories of being teased at school and she also dished that she now yearns to get married and raise children.

Another topic that she bravely talked about was her previous relationships. According to the 'Juno' star, one relationship began shortly after the premiere of 'Juno' in 2007. The romance reportedly lasted for two years before both partied decided to call it quits.

Then, Ellen Page revealed that what came after that young romance was something she could describe as "a pricklier affair."

Page told THR that it was really a struggle to keep everything low-profile. She even described the painful "neuroses of keeping it quiet and always thinking about it and thinking about when you're staying in the hotel and when you're leaving the hotel. It's so awful and hurtful."

Despite all of her efforts to keep everything a secret, Ellen Page dished that she estimated that about 80 percent of the industry already knew her secret even before she confessed to it.

"I would talk about being gay, make jokes about it, or go to a meeting and [mention it] - because I'm also producing and starring in a lesbian civil rights movie [Freeheld starring Julianne Morore] and I've been working on it for years," she said.

"I knew I would be happier. But I wouldn't have anticipated just how f***ing happy I am and how every tiny little aspect of my life feels better." Page gushed on the happiness she felt following her public announcement.

Prior to her coming out speech, Ellen Page became subject to various media reports linking her to male co-stars such as Mark Rendall, Ben Foster, and even her recent co-actor Alexander Skarsgard, according to Daily Mail.

So is Ellen Page dating right now or does she have a girlfriend? Starcasm reports that the openly homosexual actress is currently single, "but would like her future girlfriend, if she's reading, to know that she can't wait to hang out with her."
