Seeing a world famous monument can either be really cool or extremely disappointing, but getting a glimpse of these world treasures through the LEGO monuments built for 'Brick Wonders' is downright amazing. It would seem that the LEGO monuments took months to perfect.

These LEGO monuments of the world's most famous structures may not be the same as actually travelling to see them, but it pays to see them from a different perspective.

The new book by Elsemore showcases 60 reconstructions of Warren Elsmore's quest to make famous monuments from around the globe.

'Brick Wonders' features seven ancient wonders like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, depicted as they might have been. He has also created modern inventions, like electricity and transport with the Hoover Dam, Panama Canal, and the International Space Station.

Of course, it wouldn't be complete without LEGO monuments of Stonehenge, Petra and Angkor Wat, to Niagra Falls, the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef and the Great Wall of China - all made from the innovative and colorful small bricks.

Brick Wonders, which features amazing reconstructions of the world's treasures through LEGO monuments, was published this week by Mitchell Beazley. It guarantees 'an enthralling journey around the world for anyone in love with the transformative power of the plastic brick'.

Elsmore, the maker of the LEGO monuments, is from Edinburgh. He said he's been in love with the colourful bricks since age four. He also said, "I hope you enjoy Brick Wonders - whether you decide to build any of the models, or just admire the images. And remember, if you want to build your own wonders but don't have the bricks I've used, don't worry. Build from your heart and you imagination, and you can't go wrong building your own brick wonder."

Prolific AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO), Elsmore's job allows him to travel the world, and which helps him create and design the LEGO monuments. His first book, 'Brick City', was published in 2013 and has been translated into 10 languages.

LEGO monuments built by Warren Elsmore are featured in the book 'Brick Wonders', which is available to buy for £14.99 from April 7.
