Southwest airlines decided to go international and will be starting to fly to the new destinations in July of this year.  The new target for the Dallas-based airline company starting this summer will be the Caribbean.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times on Monday, the airline will be flying to Montego Bay, Aruba, Nassau, Jamaica, and the Bahamas. These international flights will be departing from Atlanta, Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Orlando.

That sounds great for a domestic airliner, but there is one thing that most loyal customers will want to change about the way this airline seats its clients, especially when flying international.

Short domestic flights are no big deal when flying with this domestic airline, while seating anywhere and next to anyone in the plane. Everyone knows that this airline lives by the first come first serve rule, unless the customer has paid those extra fees that airliners charge here and there.

Anyway, flying to the Caribbean can be far, and most families will want to seat together. So, the first come first serve rule will have to change for these international flights. It would make customers happier knowing where they will be seating, especially when flying with loved ones.

For those that have flown Southwest airlines for more than two hours, they know how painful it can be seating in a tiny plane and seating next to total strangers. So, for these international flights, Southwest might have to boost up their services as far as providing better room and better seating procedures.

The lines outside the gates while people push and shove will not look very pleasing for people that are going on vacation. The hungry rude business persona flying in Southwest will have to be terminated.

Then again, people that fly Southwest are people that like to fly cheap. You get what you pay for, right? So, another issue with Southwest would be the price of these flights to the Caribbean-how cheap are these flights going to be? The loyal customers of this Dallas-based airline will have to see!
