Pepsi flavored Cheetos? That's the latest odd snack to hit shelves in Japan.

For a limited time only, Pepsi flavored Cheetos will be sold in Japan. The Frito Lay Cheetos x Pepsi Shuwa Shuwa Cola Corn Snack started being sold in the country last month. According to Frito-Lay spokesman Jeff Dahncke, there are no plans to bring the snack to the U.S., USA Today reports.

Flavor mixing is a trend among snacks and Lynn Dornblaser, new products guru at the research firm Mintel says flavors like Cheetos and Pepsi "speaks to consumers' short attention spans. Consumers all want something absolutely new that's never been seen before." It certainly is a good way to stand out as there are an estimated 20,000 food and drink products introduced each year in the U.S. alone.

The Impulsive Buy blog posted a review of the new product on Thursday. The claim that the product actually fizzes in your mouth, like soda. The first sensation, which I did not expect, was a very acidic bite," says the reviewer. "It tries to capture the citrus notes of Pepsi, but it's over the top. Too lemony. The sweeter cola flavor is there, but it's subtler and overpowered by the intense citrus."

This isn't the first time Pepsi merged with a chip product. Pepsi chicken chips, a combination of Pepsi soda and Lay's potato chips were released in stores in China last December.

The Pepsi Cheetos won't be available in the United States but those who want to try it might be able to find the product on eBay for about $3.99. For those who like odd flavor combinations, there are plenty available in the states. For instance, Taco Bell has Dorito-flavored shells and there are plenty of strange Oreo flavors like Rainbow Sherbet Ice Cream, which were recently released.
