A little girl was able to enter Turkey by using a toy airport that identified her as a stuffed unicorn.

Emily Harris was traveling with her family for a weeklong vacation when they entered the Antalya airport. Harris' mom accidentally handed the Turkish customs official the fake passport for Emily's stuffed animal. The fake document was a Bear Factory passport for her unicorn toy named Lily Harris. The official stamped the passport and allowed the nine-year-old girl to pass through without asking many questions, the Daily Mail reports.

Harris' mother and father were shocked that they were able to get through security without the officials saying anything.

"I didn't realize until I was putting the passports away. There was a moment of panic when I thought someone would come chasing after us, but nothing," Nicky Harris told the Daily Mail. "The passport doesn't even look real - it's got gold teddy bears on the front and was a completely different size from mine and my husband, Allen's"

"The man even asked Emily how old she was, and she told him nine, before he stamped it," Harris added.

According to the Daily Mail, customs officials in all countries are supposed to scan passports and double check passenger details before allowing them to enter the country, but it appears that didn't happen in this case.

"The picture ID wasn't even of Emily, it was of a pink unicorn,' Harris said. "And to make it worse, the unicorn wasn't even on holiday with us."

"We saw the funny side, and laughed at the fact that the officer had even stamped the passport," Harris added. "But at the same time, it's a worry to any parent, how easy it would be to smuggle a child through customs and into another country."

Some don't buy the story or think that parts were left out. "Undoubtedly the mother must have handed over both their passports, they were both stamped and then the little girl had hers stamped by a kind official who played along. It's only after that the mother realised she'd handed the child the wrong passport. Easy enough to forget handing the official both the passports over. In any rate, you can tell he was playing along as he asked her how old she was. A completely unnecessary question!" Daily Mail user Oli said.
