In a country where unhealthy food reigns supreme, Krispy Kreme has come out with the ultimate artery clogging sandwich. The Krispy Kreme Sloppy Joe is the company's recent incarnation that was sold at Chicken Charlie's at the San Diego County Fair.

Fox News reports that the creation features mounds of sloppy joe meat, made from beef, cheddar cheese piled on a glazed Krispy Kreme bun.

Chicken Charlie's is an outlet of deep-friend fair food and introduced the sandwich on Saturday. Other delicious, gluttonous fair food items included Krispy Kreme chicken sandwichs, deep fried twinkies, bacon wrapped pickles, deep fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and deep fried balls made from battered red kool-Aid, reported The Los Angeles Times.

Chicken Charlie's website says it's "home of creative culinary concoctions and all things deep fried. Chicken Charlie's is a mainstay at county fairs across California. Popular with fair goers for our unique and tasty inventions from the Deep Fried Oreo to the Krispy Kreme Chicken Sandwich, the Zucchini Weeni and many more."

Chicken Charlie's is set to be serving its food at the Orange County Fair from July 12 to August 11 and at the Los Angeles County Fair from Aug. 30 to Sept. 29.

One fan, Michael Chedrick wrote on Chicken Charlie's Facebook page, "I hope you will have it at the Fresno fair."

While others weren't as happy about Chicken Charlie's creations.

Dunkin Donuts recently revealed its glazed donut breakfast sandwich. "Whatever it is, the new product has 360 calories and 720 milligrams of sodium, which makes it less caloric than a McDonald's Big Mac and slightly less salty than a KFC Honey BBQ sandwich," reported The Los Angeles Times.

The Dunkin Donuts reveal coincided with National Donut Day last week.
