Comedian Katt Williams was sentenced Thursday, after leading Sacramento police on a high-speed chase in the California capital the previous Sunday.

Williams was given 90 days in jail, along with 90 days of community service when he went to court in Los Angeles, on charges of reckless driving.

If the comedian does not fulfill his community service, he will spend the full 180 days behind bars, reports News 10.

In addition, Williams must pay court costs.

This concludes what has been a rough couple of months for Williams. He almost decided to end his comedy career after he was arrested five times during the span of eight days last year.

"There was mistakes made," he told the broadcaster. "At some point you have to take responsibility and let everyone move on. I'm glad that this is resolved. I'm not a criminal or a drug dealer. This stuff was just coming so fast and so furious. I got arrested... that's not something a law abiding citizen has to deal with. I didn't handle it the best way."

The chase that brought on this slew of charges happened in November 2012, when Williams rode a 3-wheeled motorcycle recklessly through the streets.

He even drove on the wrong side of the road.

When authorities signaled Williams pull over, the comedian zoomed off.

The chase went on for a few minutes, as Williams drove all over the place, putting other drivers' lives in danger.

One moment, Williams allegedly removed his helmet and yelled at police, "I'm not going to stop!"

Williams' attorney Richard Schonfeld says the comedian wants to put all this behind him.

"Mr. Williams looks forward to working with the community and moving on with his life," he said.

Williams is famous for his rip-roaring stand up comedy, permed-straight hair and role in the new movie "Scary Movie 5".
