For those frequent fliers who find themselves sitting in an airport terminal coffee house wishing for some company, now, their is a site for that.

"MeetAtTheAirport.com allows solo travelers to arrange meet-ups with strangers - for coffee, drinks, or just conversation. The website has just soared to the 80,000-member mark," said the site's press release.

"Share a drink with an attractive stranger in the totally safe environment of a public airport," the website's home page urges. "Perhaps, share a brunch or romantic dinner while waiting for your flight and explore the enticing possibilities that are presented to you."

To take advantage of the site, one must first fill out an online questionnaire with the usual dating-site info, such as age, ethnicity, height and weight.

But, the question that separates them from other sites is having to input your own home hub (airport, which you fly out of most). Once registered, you can enter itineraries to find a compatible match.

According to the website, "meeting someone new at the airport is fun and exciting. We've all thought about it while waiting for our flight. It's a bit of adventure that adds spice to your everyday life. MeetAtTheAirport.com can now make a fantasy a reality. Find fellow travelers that are looking for that added sense of excitement that you only get when meeting someone new. Share a drink with an attractive stranger in the totally safe environment of a public airport."

However, though the site is different, it isn't unique. A few similar sites exist:

Planely.com, matches members who are taking the same flight, enabling a date or conversation to make flying more appealing. And KLM Airlines has a "Meet & Seat" option for flights to and from Amsterdam that lets participating passengers link up via social media.

In the last couple of years dating sites have been popping up from every direction, catering to a every type of person--even farmers have a website to find dates now.

So, why not travelers who need companionship to burn a long flight?
