"When it comes to Memorial Day travel, it's best to search for your flights using flexible dates and multiple airports," said Courtney Scott , senior editor for Travelocity in a release. Those who are planning a Memorial Day weekend trip should book them as soon as possible as it's already April! According to Travelocity's research, prices tend to drop at the beginning of April and steadily increase each week after. The highest prices occur during the week of April 22 and the week of May 19. Prices jump an average of $26 for last minute bookings.
