It appears that Lady Gaga's Synovitis is more serious than she or her fans thought it would be.

The New York Times reports that Live Nation Global Touring announced on Wednesday that she "has torn soft tissues in her hip joint and the injury has forced her to cancel the rest of her "Born This Way Ball" tour to have surgery and recover."

The tests revealed that she tore a ring or soft elastic tissue, called the labrum, in her right hip.

According to The New York Times:

"The labrum follows the outside rim of the hip joint's socket, holding the ball at the top of the femur in place. Athletes and dancers sometimes develop a tear in the tissue, and such injuries can be fixed using arthroscopic surgical techniques."

While her condition seems to be serious, Lady Gaga was still extremely apologetic, writing, "I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't," she said via littlemonsters.com, according to MTV.

However, her fans were quick to respond to the singer and her not "wanting to disappoint my amazing fans," via Twitter.

"I hope that someday Gaga's going to learn that she doesn't have to be afraid of letting us down," @Malick_Monster tweeted. "She never has and never will. It's a fact [sic]," according to MTV.

"I feel a bit less depressed now, Gaga WILL be ok. She just needs to rest + recover," @Isabelle_Gaga wrote on Twitter, with ‏@Putyour_pawsup adding, "We are all here with you Gaga, get well soon, baby ♥ WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH [sic]," according to MTV.
