Rumors have been swirling that "One Punch Man" season 2 will see the first defeat of the powerful hero Saitama. There are several possible characters that could defeat Saitama, and the creator of the manga himself might have revealed the type of character to defeat the powerful hero.

According to a report from Korea Portal, one of the characters that can possibly defeat Saitama for the first time is Garou. The hero-hunter, so far, has been the only character that was able to withstand Saitama's punches.

The two characters are also equal in terms of strengths and capabilities, which makes their matchup even more fitting. The report said that another possible character to defeat Saitama is Genos himself, who is rumored to turn evil in season 2.

Class A Rank 1 Hero Amai Mask is also a candidate and rumors are strong that he and Saitama will face off at one point in season 2. The report said that fans are excited for the match if it will indeed happen, as the number one A-Rank hero could have some secret technique to defeat Saitama.

But a report said that the kind of character that could defeat Saitama might actually have been revealed by One, the creator of the manga himself. In a nod to the "Salt Bae" meme, the creator illustrated Reigen Arataka, the hero of the manga "Mob Psycho 100," spraying salt in "Salt Bae" fashion over Saitama's head.

Though this is only a meme, the illustrator could likely adopt this kind of thinking in his illustrations. Reigen is a character that is physically weak but mentally strong and if One adapts this to "One Punch Man," then a villain who is strong mentally could be the character that finally defeats Saitama for the first time.

Without any confirmation from VizMedia about how the story of "One Punch Man" season 2 will go, fans can only speculate. For now, fans should just wait when the anime officially airs. Check out the video for more news on "One Punch Man" season 2.
