The Microsoft "Surface Pro 5" is expected to be released this fall 2017, which will coincide with the major Windows 10 Creators Update. The new 2-in-1 hybrid device will likely feature Intel's new Kaby Lake chipset, a rechargeable Surface Pen, and a 4K resolution display.

According to the report from LearnBonds, a lot of experts said that March would be the month Microsoft will announce their new 2-in-1 hybrid. But with the month already passed, Fall 2017 is likely the period wherein the new device will be released and there is some evidence to show it.

The report said that chief among them would be the Windows 10 Creators Update, which is Microsoft's next major update of its OS. The patch will be released this fall and this is the best time for Microsoft to showcase their new device using their updated OS.

Microsoft will also likely wait until the Christmas quarter before it releases the "Surface Pro 5," where people are more likely to purchase new items and devices for their Christmas shopping. As for the specs, the 2-in-1 hybrid is said to be sporting Intel's 7th generation core chips, the Kaby Lake.

The report said that this is a better option for the Microsoft "Surface Pro 5" than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 chip. Smart Stock News even reported that using the Kaby Lake on the "Surface Pro 5" will solve one of the biggest issues with the "Surface Pro 4," which is battery life.

The "Surface Pro 4" may have great specs and processing power but it has not been known for its longevity. But with the Kaby Lake, the "Surface Pro 5" will likely address this issue. The report said that Intel has confirmed that their 7th gen core chip has been designed "to be more efficient at power consumption."

Aside from the Kaby Lake, the 2-in-1 hybrid device is also expected to come with two displays, the 2K, and 4K resolutions. Plus it will also have a Surface Pen that can be rechargeable when it magnetically attaches to the "Surface Pro 5."

Microsoft's new device is also rumored to have a USB Type-C, which will make it stand out. Hopefully, Microsoft comes out with some more details about the "Surface Pro 5" to confirm some of the rumored specs. For now, check out more news about the Microsoft "Surface Pro 5" in the video below.
