We all have our favorite sitcoms, soap operas, or television shows. Some of these shows are so iconic that traveling to their fictional setting is a dream come true.

Want to retrace the steps of your favorite TV stars? Here are some of the real-life destinations some famous TV shows are based:

Parks and Recreation: Muncie, Indiana. This hilarious TV show starring Amy Poehler and Chris Pratt is a classic favorite, and even though the show takes place in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana, the place is actually based on the real-life town of Muncie. According to Travel US News, This small town is renowned for its quality craft beer, but visitors can enjoy other leisurely activities as well such as dance and art workshops and hiking trails.

The Walking Dead: Atlanta, Georgia. Our favorite apocalyptic, zombie-filled series is now on its 7th season, and every episode still gives us the thrill. Although now, the main cast is always on the move, according to Fodors, the first season shows the unmistakable landscape of Atlanta in Georgia, although on the show, the main city kind of looks disheveled because of the zombie rampage.

2 Broke Girls: Brooklyn, New York. This trendy show featuring the lives of two waitresses in New York is actually more or less filmed in Williamsburg, known as the epicenter of Brooklyn. Hipsters are commonly drawn in Williamsburg because of its trendy food and art scene, with lots of laid-back shops and quirky food hubs lined in the streets. Enjoy spending some time window shopping at the area's waterfront flea markets, or search for classic records in vintage shops.

Game of Thrones: Iceland. And of course, who could forget Game of Thrones? Now one of the most anticipated TV series, all our favorite characters revolve in the world of Westeros, the Wall, and the icy wilderness beyond it. For real-life film locations, Iceland was the backdrop since season two. Unlike before, when visitors visit Iceland for the Blue Lagoon and Aurora Borealis, they are now also rooting for the same locations where some of the scenes of game Of Thrones are filmed.
