A lot of gamers agree that "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" is one of the best "Lord of the Rings" games out there, and so when a new game was announced, a lot of people are excited. The sequel is titled "Shadow of War" and it is scheduled for release in August. The game is going to be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

According to Yahoo! Tech, "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" aims to give a bigger and badder Middle-earth to dominate. The game follows Talion who is infused with the spirit of the elf lord Celebrimbor. Talion forged a new Ring of Power - which gamers can use to raise their own war chiefs with their own specific abilities.

IGN reported that the 16-minute "Shadow of War" gameplay walkthrough teased the many changes and enhancements coming to "Middle-earth: Shadow of War." The new and improved Nemesis system lets the gamer dominate all manner of orcs, trolls and beasts, just like the "Shadow of Mordor."

One feature is the ability to split up the ranger and wraith in order to handle multiple enemies. The game will also have rideable dragons. When this walkthrough was released, a lot of fans noticed that it didn't break into the broader open-world gameplay, which many are expecting, because that's what makes "Shadow of Mordor" great.

Michael de Plater, the creative director at Monolith said that "Shadow of War" will let gamers do what they want at their own pace. He said that the game lets you conquer the different regions once you've gotten within Mordor in whatever order you please. He also added that the main story and all the missions and side stories are going to be expansive. There's going to be a ton of different things to do, de Plater added.

De Plater also said that "Shadow of War" will be larger than its predecessor. "We're still in development so we haven't sort of finalized the number [of regions], but there's a lot more of them than last time," he said. He also added that each of the regions are going to be enormous and more detailed than the two in "Shadow of Mordor."
