A lot of fans have been waiting for an update as to when "Mr. Robot" Season 3 will be aired. The finale of the previous season was aired in September of last year, and even while Season 2 was still on air, Season 3 has already been confirmed, so it's really just a question of when.

According to Celebeat, fans are expecting for Season 3 to air this summer, however, that might be delayed. Rami Malek has just completed the remake of the Steve McQueen film "Papillion." This remake also stars Charlie Hunnam from "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword."

Creator Sam Esmail has previously told Entertainment Weekly that it is just a "weird, archaic judgment on television shows" to bring it back on a certain schedule. Doing so would risk the quality of the show, to say the least.

This means that "Mr. Robot" Season 3 won't be rushed to give in to other's expectations of when the premiere date is going to be. Meanwhile, Esmail has previously teased as to how the upcoming season would be like. He shared a script leak, and it talks about Donald Trump getting elected as the US President.

This leak does not give so much away, but it shows that "Mr. Robot" will remain relevant with current events. The leak shows Krista asking Elliot regarding what disappoints him so much about the society and Elliot said that that's an easy question. He then replied: "Donald Trump was just elected President of the United States," to which Krista replied: "Good point."

No trailer has been released as of yet, but "Mr. Robot" Season 2 dealt with the aftermath and the impact on the society and E Corp,  as well as Elliot's attempt to keep an illusion of control. Season 3 is expected to be a continuation of this premise.
