Fans have been waiting for ages for the hit fantasy anime series, "No Game, No Life" Season 2 ever since the previous season ended in June 2014. Last December, the show makers made an announcement which excited the fans. They announced that the franchise will have a movie that will be titled "No Game, No Life Zero".

The film was set to release sometime this year in Japan and an official website was put up to update the fans for the highly anticipated movie. According to Anime New Network, the website revealed last Friday the first teaser for the film together with the casts and key visuals. The teaser lasted for 30 seconds which previewed the return of the iconic character including the 'One True God' named Tet.

The film will see the return of the original casts including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Sora, Ai Kayano to voice Shiro, Yōko Hikasa as Stephanie Dora, Yukari Tamura playing as Jibril, Rie Kugimiya as Teto and many more. For the staffs, the previous director of the anime series, Atsuko Ishizuka will return to helm the film under Madhouse Studio while Jukki Hanada will handle the composition. Kouji Ohya will be replaced by Satoshi Tasaki of "Fairy Musketeers" as the character designer while Super Sweep will be back to handle the film's music.

The story will be set over 6,000 years before the events in the light novel series as reported by Crunchyroll. Kadokawa will also conduct a stage event featuring the voice actors and actresses for Sora, Shiro and Stephanie on March 26 in the Anime Japan 2017. Hopefully more footages and sneak peeks will be offered in the said event.

"No Game, No Life" series was based on Yuu Kamiya's novel bearing the same title where it was adopted into an anime series on April 2014. The nine volumes of the series were published under MF Bunko J imprint while the English versions were released by Yen Press. Kamiya's wife, Mashiro Hiiragi made a manga adaptation of the series under Monthly Comic Alive.
