The manga version of "My Hero Academia" is taking an unannounced hiatus, the manga's first break since creator Kohei Horikoshi debuted it in 2014. Meanwhile, the total runtime of the upcoming anime "My Hero Academia" Season 2 is slated to be equal to half of a year.

According to a report from Anime News Network, the French anime publisher Kaze was the one who listed the anime series' season 2 as having a runtime of equivalent to half a year. The publisher released two home videos for the anime and each video has a runtime of 318 minutes.

Kenji Nagasaki returns to direct "My Hero Academia" Season 2, together with writer Yousuke Kuroda and chief animation director Yoshihiko Umakoshi. Yuuki Hayashi also returns to compose the music together with the main cast of season 1.

The hit anime series is scheduled to premiere on March 25, 2017 and it will be a recap episode of season 1. The real first episode of season 2 will debut a week after on April 1, 2017.

"My Hero Academia" will air at 5:30 p.m. (Japan Time) on the Nippon TV and Yomiuri TV channels. Season 2 will be covering the U.A. Sports Festival Arc of Horikoshi's original hit manga series.

Speaking of the manga series, Crunchyroll reported that it will be taking its first hiatus since it debuted on 2014. This break was unannounced so fans will be a little surprised to see there won't be a new issue this week.

The report adds that the hiatus can be seen on an early look at next week's Shonen Jump issue 14. The hit manga was absent from the issue, which indicates a hiatus.
