Broadway Week and Off-Broadway Week in New York City is almost here. That means plenty of shows are offering 2-for-1 tickets during certain weeks in January and February.

Although it's called Broadway Week, the special 2-for-1 ticket deal lasts longer than seven days. From January 22- February 7, theater lovers can get tickets to a Broadway show for essentially, buy one, get one free.  Off-Broadway week takes place from January 28- February 10, so there will be plenty of opportunities to see many shows with this special discount.

"This winter we encourage New Yorkers and visitors to take advantage of this two-for-one ticket savings opportunity and experience some of the best theatre in the country for an extremely affordable price," said George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company, in a statement, according to Playbill.com.

Not every Broadway show is participating in Broadway Week and tickets are subject to availability. There are also certain blackout dates.

The shows that are participating in Broadway Week include:

Annie, Chicago, Cinderella, The Heiress, Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Newsies, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Once, The Other Place, The Phantom of the Opera, Picnic, Rock of Ages, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Wicked.
