It has been confirmed that Season 3 for "Outlander" won't be released until September. The upcoming season of the Starz series will adapt Diana Gabaldon's "Voyager" novel, and cast and crew is currently in South Africa to film the sea voyage scenes.

No specific date has been announced yet, but the reason why airing of the upcoming season is delayed is because Season 3 is going to take months to shoot. Filming won't be done until May, and after that, there is going to be tons of editing and post-production work to do. But don't worry. Once Season 3 ends, fans won't have to wait as long, because Season 4 will start not long after.

According to Express, "Outlander" Season 3 will follow Claire as she returns to the 18th Century to find Jamie. The story would pick up right after Claire travels through the stones to return to her life in 1948. As the years pass, both Jamie and Claire attempt to make new lives apart, but they remain haunted by the memory of their lost love. And so they must find a way to get back to each other.

Blasting News said that this reunion is going to be hot. It has been 20 years in the show's lifetime since Claire and Jaime last saw each other, and so fans are expecting that the reunion will be short of steamy scenes. Caitriona Balfe, who plays Claire, said that when Jamie and Claire reunite, their love is timeless, and also, "who they are inside is timeless."

Balfe also said that her role as an aged Claire is an interesting challenge. Balfe also even teased that the last she heard, old people have good sex too. She also said that although Jamie and Claire will already be in their 40s or early 50s in "Outlander" Season 3, the characters' passion for each other will still "run very, very hot."
