"Pokemon Stars" will be reimagined for Nintendo Switch. CEO confirmed this information and even revealed more.

The "Pokémon Stars" release date continues to be cloaked in mystery. In September 2016, Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara has confirmed plans to develop a game for the Nintendo Switch. However, since then we have not heard much of anything about the new upcoming title. The good news is the CEO recently had an interview with Japanese publisher Toyokeizai. There, he revealed few more clues about what to anticipate from the Nintendo Switch's Pokémon game.

In an interview with Toyokeizai Online, Ishihara discussed the "Pokémon Stars" series relative to the Nintendo Switch. "Pokémon Stars" on the Switch would have to be completely different from what we are accustomed to from the current games. According to the CEO, the Nintendo Switch is a home game machine that can be brought out and its properties are to some extent different from those of a handheld machine. In addition, the screen is a bit bigger and the spec is higher. He said that if you were going to roll out "Pokemon" to the Switch, it would not be the same to what it looks like now.

Most probably, it will take a while before we get more information about what the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon or "Pokémon Stars" would look like. Until then, these renders of a high-definition version of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" will have to stream us over. Recently, there are images of the latest 3DS games in HD released on Twitter by user @initPragma. They are, in a way, a nice reminder that the newest Pokémon games are fundamentally in 3D, and look amazing at a higher resolution, reported MIC.

Simply re-releasing "Pokémon Sun and Moon" in HD with a fresh name like "Pokémon Stars" might be a bit of a way around for the company. It seems like the Pokémon Company has something bigger up on their sleeves for the Nintendo Switch.
