Hakogaku is one of the teams which will find the transition stages difficult after the huge upset at the finale of the Inter High back in Season 2. The whole team was given very little screen time during the past episodes but this week's episode is dedicated specifically for them. The episode was titled 'The Last Meet' and will tackle Hakogaku's fun ride which is actually the send off for the graduating members.

The episode started off with the former champions preparing for a send-off event for their senior members. The event which they call a 'fun ride' will consist of a 120 kilometer ride which turned out to race between the graduating members and the one's filling their positions. The episode started slow taking the first half for a congratulatory stretch featuring the outgoing characters as reported by Keiko's Anime Blog.

Many have are longing for the members of the Hakogaku and missing their comic scenes especially with the narcissistic Toudou Jinpachi. However, the new episode was full of Hakogaku with the first few minutes featuring Toudou with his iconic pointing pose. Fans also get to see Shinkai Hayato doing his Ka-pow pose.

The light and friendly vibe of the episode was changed heart-throbbing excitement when the appointed new team captain, Izumida Touichiriou openly declared war to the third years. Izumida called the seniors weak and that they are now tasked with redeeming the name of their team. Izumida and Shinkai was first up for the epic showdown where both of the sprinters jump-off with full speed not offering any advantage for each other.

According to Anime News Network, Izumida have leveled up again with another weapon joining his arsenal, Fabian. At the moment, there are now three named muscles within Izumida's body which is actually based from actual bikers. Andy and Frank are named after Schleck brothers of Luxembourg while Fabian is based on Fabian Cancellara of the UCI ProTeam Trek-Segafredo.

Izumida emerged victorious against his mentor and idol Shinkai following the ending of the flats section. The pack is now entering climb to the mountains where Toudou challenged his junior for another showdown.
