Super Bowl 2013: Bud Light to Open Bud Light Hotel in New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII

Super Bowl 2013 is less than two months away! No Super Bowl is complete without beer. Bud Light, the official beer sponsor of the NFL, will be opening a Bud Light Hotel for the big game in New Orleans.

Bud Light will transform a 200-room hotel in downtown New Orleans into a complete Bud Light  paradise which will be a hotspot for football fans and partygoers. Bud Light staff will spend 3,000 hours installing custom drapes, lighting, furniture and other Bud Light themed items within the hotel. Even 550 hand towels, 250 pillows and 1,500 shampoos will contain the Bud Light Brand  in the specialized hotel from Thursday, January 31 through Sunday, February 3.

The excitement will begin on Jan. 31 with the EA SPORTSTM Madden Bowl. At this event, celebrities and NFL stars will battle it out on the latest edition of the Madden NFL video game. The winners get a trophy. Past winners include Drew Brees, Tim Tebow and Maurice Jones-Drew.

"Bud Light Hotel has established itself as the premier destination for parties and events Super Bowl week, and we're raising the bar once again this year," said Mike Sundet, vice president, Bud Light in a release.  "With Madden Bowl kicking off the weekend and a few surprises still to come, guests will be hard-pressed to find a better line-up of parties."

"The Bud Light Hotel continues to be a great fit for our Madden Bowl event," said Christopher Erb, vice president of marketing, EA SPORTS. "The players love the atmosphere, and so do our fans. We're thrilled to be back, and we're going to have another great field of participants this year."

Bud Light is giving fans the opportunity to get in on the action. They're holding an open casting call for a Facebook fan to become the official Bud Light Hotel Facebook Correspondent. Interested people must submit their entry video on the Bud Light Facebook page and fans can like their favorite video. The most liked video applicant will receive a salary to be featured in a series of videos from the Bud Light Hotel which will be broadcasted on the Bud Light Facebook and YouTube pages.

Fans also have until Jan. 18 to enter to win a trip for four to stay at the Bud Light Hotel and attend Super Bowl XLVII. You can enter by clicking on the "Bud Light Super Bowl Experience at Bud Light Hotel New Orleans" tab on the Bud Light Facebook page or by scanning QR codes on Bud Light products.
The Bud Light Hotel events are invite only and fans will be able to win tickets through promotions that will be held throughout New Orleans in January. Additional announcements about Bud Light Hotel will be made in January 2013.
