Nolan Daniels fooled the Internet when he posted what he said was a winning Powerball ticket and promised to share $1 million from his jackpot winnings. However, it was nothing but a big hoax and it seems like this isn't the first time Daniels tried this prank. Daniels may also be behind a similar prank back in April when the Mega Millions jackpot was a record $640 million.

On Thursday, Daniels posted a photo of what appears to be a jackpot winning Powerball ticket with the winning numbers, 5, 16, 22, 23, 29, PB 6. If the ticket was indeed a winner, Daniels would get half of a $588 million.

Along with the photo, Daniels posted this message:

"Looks like I won't be going to work EVER!!!! Share this photo and I will give a random person 1 million dollars!"

As of 12 p.m. EST, the photo has been shared over 1,734,000 times. However, the photo is a fake.

The numbers on Daniels' ticket read 22,29,23, 16, 5 and Powerball 6. This order of numbers would not be standard on a Powerball ticket. They would be in order of lowest to highest.  Also, the 16 in the photo appears to be altered from '46.' The '5' may have been a '55.'  Dingle digits also have a 0 in front of them, so Daniels' 5 and Powerball 6 should read as '05' and '06.'

Daniels' ticket is nothing more than a bad Photoshop job or some other alteration. It seems like he pulled this prank for attention and it may not be the first time he's tried it.

On March 30, 2012, the numbers were chosen for a record $640 million jackpot. Within a few days, a similar photo appeared of a man holding up a ticket with the winning numbers 2, 4, 23, 38, 46. The man in the photo promised to share some of the winnings with those who shared the photo. The photo was shared over 80,000 times. That photo was also fake.

The man in the Mega Millions prank draws a striking similarity to 'Nolan Daniels' and it's possible that Daniels is pulling his own stunt again with this Powerball prank.

If Daniels is not the man in the previous photo, he may have gotten his inspiration from this original prank, but he didn't do as good of a job at altering the photo.

In a previous report on Daniels, a man that claims to be Daniels' brother left us a comment, vouching for Nolan Daniels' character and the sort of things that he's done in the past.

"I am Nolan's biological brother.  However, true brothers are defined by loyalty, honesty, and a bond of trust. He is not one of those kind of brothers.  If you want to add to the viral stream, then you should know that he was dating my ex of 3 years in secret for a year and told me via email while on vacation with her after he left my house (roommates after his 2nd divorce) and left the business (partners for 6 years). Solid guy. I get the post, it is funny to some people. However, from what I hear about his message box being full of people's stories of hardship and desire for help is kind of sad. Even though most knew it was fake people hang onto the most slim opportunities for some luck, some hope. December is the number 1 month for heart attacks, strokes, and suicide. Combine that with the economic state of this country and people desperately hang on to even the tiniest bit of hope. I hope people were able to shake it off. I'm sure the vast majority did. The idea of someone winning and then sharing in a second lottery is touching. Too bad it this wasn't the case. Fake saint, real douche bag. - Derek Daniels."

Daniels has angered many who fell for his prank, but some still don't know that it is a fake. Many continue to comment on his photo, telling their stories of hardship and how they would use the money.

"I saw wanna share but my comp crashed last nite & all I can do is post on this cell fone. If God blesses me maybe you'll consider me. Have fabulous holidays & may God bless u & your family," Linnea DeLoach wrote.

"I think its wonderful that you would be so generous. If I was chosen id get a home for my kids and put money away for their education, go back to school myself , get my car running, and help my family & as many people as I could. Congratulations & may God Bless you for your generosity," wrote Tiffany James.

Daniels' cruel prank is going to crush the hopes of those who thought they actually had a chance at getting a million dollars. Perhaps Daniels is already wealthy and will have a change of heart and donate some money to those he disappointed.
