Japan Airlines to Serve KFC Meals on Flights

For a limited time, Japan Airlines will be serving food from the popular fast food chain, KFC. The Associated Press reported that from Dec. 1 to Feb. 28 the Japanese airliner will be serving up fried chicken to fliers in economy and premium economy from Narita Airport to various cities in Europe and America including, Frankfurt, London, New York, Boston, Chicago and San Diego.

The meals will include KFC's signature drumstick and chicken breast, coleslaw, lettuce and flatbread. The fast food chain is extremely popular in Japan and Christmas is a popular time for KFC. ABC news reports that KFC has used the holiday to make fried chicken meals a holiday tradition and American Fast Food is getting increaslingly popular in Japan. The Los Angeles Times reports that KFC is now offering an American-Style Christmas feast that comes with champagne and cake on their menus.

ABC News reports that JAL has also partnered with other restaurant chains as a part of their "Air Series" menu. They have partnered up with Yoshinoya which is a popular Japanese chain, that can also be found in certain places in the U.S. Famous for its "Yoshinoya Beef Bowl," the Japanese chain mainstay brings travelers familiarity in their airline meals.

Another popular Japanese chain, MOS Burger also paired up with JAL in the past serving inventive rice burgers. MOS Burger is known as a popular Japanese burger joint with a Japanese twist, serving items like the rice burgers and deep friend shrimp burgers.

Mister Donut is another popular chain in Japan that JAL has partnered with in the past, reports ABC News. The donut eatery has outlets all over Japan and could be considered similar to "Dunkin Donuts" which can be seen all over the East Coast.
