Carrie Lynn Reichert, Prince Harry's blonde party friend in Vegas who said she hung out naked with the Prince in his Vegas hotel room, has been arrested.
The Daily Mail reported that Reichert,40, has been arrested for writing fraudulent checks as she was on her way to Mexico.
Radaronline.com reported that she has spent a month in jail Harrison County jail in Mississippi after the bounced check incident on August 24.
Reichert has allegedly written $21,672 in bad checks since 2003, The New York Daily News reported.
Reichert spoke with UK's The People magazine about her night with the Prince.
She gained fame after pictures of naked Prince Harry surfaced and she claimed to be alone with Prince Harry for 20 minutes where she stripped down to a string bikini and Harry was fully naked. She said to The Mirror, "We kissed, he was naked at the time, and pretty open. It was a drunken fumble. It wasn't romantic, just fun," she says. "He was a gentleman, but he was so wasted. The alcohol affected him. I was there for 15 to 20 minutes."
She is now being held at a California detention center. US Weekly reports that if she is convicted of a felony she faces more than a year in jail.
A source said to The Daily News, "Customs matched her up at the airport. She was fixing to go out of the country, but we had them snatch her up. She didn't get to go on her little weekend adventure."
Radaronline.com reported that Reichert has claimed that the British Secret Service had a part in putting her in jail.
Radaronline.com reported that the she said to The Daily Mail: "I believe the British Secret Service or whoever protects the Royals have something to do with my situation. I am not being treated the same as someone else in my situation."
Reichert's attorney, Donald Rafferty said according to Radaronline.com
"Professionally, since 1984, in my experience a charge of this nature is typically not prosecuted at the same level that she is being prosecuted at.
"All she had to do was obtain a fugitive bond out there and turn herself into Mississippi. She became high profile very quickly because of an interview she gave and that had an impact.
"I am not convinced that Mississippi authorities were the ones necessarily stirring that gumbo as we say, but something was.
I am trying to get my teeth into the case to help that young lady. She is disappointed and very upset over the way this is going down. She has several legitimate defenses to the allegations contained in the indictment."
